In an effort to meet potential customers with sufficient offerings for the eighth annual SBDC Day on March 20th, 2024, Wonderstone Gifts added another 13 items to California Shop Small‘s vendor site. The same 13 new products were also uploaded to the main site at wonderstonegifts.com.
The routine is becoming more familiar: make the products, catalog them, price them, photograph them, edit the photographs, write product descriptions, upload the images and product descriptions, back up everything, and publish everything.
A St. Patrick’s Day blog went out on Sunday. The idea was to get the word out about SBDC Day and the one-day-only, site-wide special that allows shoppers to claim 20% off available products. Type the code ‘LAUNCH20’ at checkout to take advantage of the sale.
A total of 52 products are now available at both sites.
In addition to adding products, some small adjustments to the Wonderstone Gifts website brought the operation into compliance by notifying visitors about the cookie policy. The main thing to note is that the site only uses “strictly necessary cookies.” There are no advertising cookies or any other cookies beyond those that are needed to maintain session information, shopping cart information, and encrypted transaction information.
It will probably be a good idea to monitor this policy and make future adjustments according to what seems best for the growth of the business.
Today, the 19th of March, is the Spring Equinox. Since it happens at 8:06 PM PDT, it is worth noting that the Universal Time Coordinated (UTC) hour of the event is 3:06 AM on the 20th of March. So, happy Spring!
It’s definitely time to think about mowing the lawn for the first time in several months.
There are patches of snow on the mountain. There is snow in the forecast for the end of this week. It would definitely be good to even out the surface of the lawn before the next snow.
The wood stove has been idle for at least two days. Temperatures outside have been perfect. Meanwhile, the temperatures inside the house have also been perfect. The sauerkraut that was started nearly three weeks ago is ready to move outside to the refrigerator, where it will spend another one to three weeks fermenting at a very low temperature while it develops that classic taste we all look forward to this time of year.
Tonight’s dinner will be the last of the leftovers from St. Patrick’s Day. Corned beef, mashed potatoes, cabbage, carrots, and green beans were on the menu, as always. It seems that brownies have also become part of the tradition. Notes from last year support this claim.
The real plan for March was to add hair clips to the store. The hair clips are in the workshop and are near completion. Expectations are high for these items. There are twelve of them ready for processing. They’ve been etched with original knotwork patterns. There are six of one pattern and six of another pattern. They still need to be polished and shaped around the base plates of the barrettes, but the job is almost finished. It seems likely that they will be ready for sale before the end of the month.
So, again, Happy Spring!
See ya’!
